Established in 1949, John Keating & Associates is a Prahran based firm with extensive experience in providing legal services to the Melbourne City area and greater Victoria.

The firm’s clients include businesses both large and small, families, individuals and investors in Victoria and abroad.

John Keating, the firm’s partner, has years of practice management experience and has built the practice with a strong client-focus and by forming close relationships with his clients.

JOHN KEATING – PRINCIPAL

John Keating has been in practice as a solicitor from the same Prahran premises for over thirty (35) years and has extensive experience in the following practice areas:

Education: Melbourne High School / Melbourne University

John is a director of the local Bendigo Community Bank, a past president of the Prahran District Chamber of Commerce and the Streets Ahead Committee.

He is also a Paul Harris Fellow of the Prahran Rotary Club and a Notary Public.

WARREN BLOCK – SOLICITOR

Warren has been with the firm since 2000, and practices mainly in the areas of wills, estate administration, powers of attorney, commercial litigation and small business law.

Warren Block is a solicitor and has been with the firm since 2000.

After twelve years in the insurance industry, Warren returned to university to obtain his degrees and was admitted to practice in Victoria in 1997.

Personally, Warren has been a member of Rostrum Victoria for thirty years, maintaining his interest in communication skills. Also, after serving nine years in the Army Reserve in the Royal Victoria Regiment, he is now secretary of the Royal Victoria Regiment Association Inc, a position he has held since 2003.

Warren’s main areas of practice are:

  • Wills and estates administration (including probate) and disputes

  • Powers of attorney and guardianship matters

  • Commercial litigation

  • Retail leases; and sale and purchase of business

MIKE CRESP - 
ADMINISTRATOR

 

Mike has extensive experience in office administration and accounting and can assist you in arranging appointments, paying accounts, and managing the documents we hold on your behalf.

Our administrator Mike Cresp has extensive experience in office administration and accounting both in Australia and overseas. He has been with the firm since 2005.

He held the position of office manager for a medium sized firm of solicitors in the late sixties and early seventies. These were fairly rare positions in legal firms at that time. He has worked in various other industries during his career which includes working in the United Kingdom, The Middle East and the United States of America for several years.

Mike will be able to assist you in arranging appointments with our legal professionals, questions and payments regarding your account and legal documents that we hold on your behalf.

MEREDITH FORD - 
SENIOR CONVEYANCING PARALEGAL

 

Meredith has over 15 years of experience as a conveyancer working primarily with Victorian law firms.

Meredith Ford is our senior conveyancing paralegal and has been with the firm since 2009.

Meredith has 15 years of experience as a conveyancer working primarily with Victorian law firms. 

After completing her BA (First Class Honours) at Monash University, Meredith commenced work with a small practice in Melbourne as a senior legal secretary / personal assistant. After the firm was merged with another her roles were expanded to being a personal assistant to two senior partners whilst engaging in performing tasks in many different facets of law. It was at this firm that Meredith enhanced her knowledge of conveyancing. She is a valued employee of our firm and has developed a great rapport with our many conveyancing clients.

Meredith has experience in the property practice areas of residential sales and purchase and subdivisions.
